Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Footage Unleashes Doctor Doom’s Full Power
Marvel has finally dropped its long-awaited teaser clips of “Avengers: Doomsday” which were initially released only to fans in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. This explosive teaser gives us a better insight on how Robert Downey Jr. will be playing the role of Victor Von Doom.
Moreover, the scenes seem to make it evident of the fact that there is a very personal bond existing between Doom and the Fantastic Four.
In a scene which involves Sue Storm, portrayed by Vanessa Kirby, a very emotional introduction of Victor seems to be made in the sense that she tells him that he used to be brilliant and loving but lost whatever was valuable to him.
This history sets Doom against Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards. As the city of New York is destroyed, Reed turns to Doom and challenges him whether he is the one behind the carnage.
Doom’s answer makes it clear that he has higher aspirations than just destroying the heroes. He believes that their existence is based on something that was once his.
Perhaps one of the most breathtaking parts of this trailer is when Thor (Chris Hemsworth) comes into play during the scene.
With the use of Mjolnir, he tries attacking Doom, but the villain easily stops his weapon with very little effort.
Then Doom pushes him away effortlessly, making it clear right from the beginning that Doom is a villain who can defeat Thor easily.
And things become even more dire during the last part. Doom releases green mystic powers and calls forth a massive army of Sentinel robots out of the earth.
The fact that he makes an ultimatum to the effect that even Hell answers to him comes at the most ominous moment possible.
The trailer also offers quick peeks at the larger crossover action, giving us an indication that there is a battle spanning across many locations in the Marvel universe.
Some of the characters mentioned include Chris Evans as Captain America, Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Cyclops (James Marsden), and Magneto (Sir Ian McKellen) among others.
In light of its Fantastic Four tie-in, multiverse aspects, and what appears to be an incredibly difficult foe to conquer, Doctor Doom,
Avengers: Doomsday is likely to become a defining moment in the MCU. With the recently revealed footage, viewers are provided with perhaps their best chance to see just how dangerous the situation has become.
