Dolly Parton, the global superstar who touched millions of hearts, died peacefully today at her home in Nashville, Tennessee, at 80 years old.

The sad news was confirmed by her family and representative through a video statement.“Her rhinestone life was so big and bright that it could be seen all over the world,” said Bryan Seaver, her nephew, in a post on social media about her passing to inform her millions of followers around the globe.

No specific cause of death was explicitly shared by her representatives. Nevertheless, Dolly Parton had been speaking about her own health problems.

The singer said that she was suffering from the great physical exhaustion caused by the care for her deceased husband Carl Dean.

An Unmatched Legacy in Film

Apart from her musical work, however, Dolly Parton has also had an extremely successful acting career in Hollywood.
