Dan Stevens Enters the Robocop World
Dan Stevens is stepping into one of cinema’s most recognisable mechanical roles.
The Downton Abbey, Legion, and Abigail actor will portray Robocop in Prime Video’s upcoming television series.
Dan Stevens follows in the footsteps of Peter Weller, who was famous for portraying the same character in the 1987 film.
This is a new iteration of the Robocop television series.
A New Vision for Robocop
The series has already been ordered to have eight episodes by Prime Video.
The series will be produced by Amazon MGM Studios, which now owns the rights to the franchise after acquiring MGM’s entertainment properties.
James Wan, the director of such horror hits as The Conjuring, Saw, and Aquaman, will be the executive producer of the series through his own production studio Atomic Monster.
The show will be created by Peter Ocko as writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

A Long-Awaited Return
Amazon has been working on the project since the acquisition of MGM’s library in 2022. Now, the series goes ahead with a big-name actor cast in the main role.
Stevens will bring a lot to play when it comes to the human and robot parts of the character.
The series also comes with some talented professionals in the genre behind the scenes.
Having ordered eight episodes, the TV series Robocop is taking a huge step towards development.
